Our place is in the Masjid-E-Taha building on MSR Main Road. Being near the Mathikere flyover means there is always noise and movement outside. We deal with steel and hardware, so the shop is full of heavy items and metal pieces. You will find us at number 44. It is a practical kind of job, moving stock around and making sure we have what builders and locals are looking for. The floor is usually a bit dusty from all the metalwork and the constant flow of people coming in from the street. Mathikere is a busy area, and being right on the main road keeps us on our feet. We have different types of steel rods and all the small bits of hardware that hold things together. It is not a quiet office job; there is a lot of lifting and counting. We have been here for a bit, and we know the shortcuts around the flyover well. Most of our time goes into checking the inventory and helping someone find a specific pipe or a set of hinges. The building itself is easy to spot once you get off the flyover. We just focus on the daily tasks, like unloading trucks or organizing the back room so we can actually find things when a customer is waiting. It is just a regular hardware shop doing its thing in this part of Bangalore. We don't have a big team, just a few of us working here every day.
