Site Engineer In Construction Project Management Consultancy

My workplace is at 888, 15th Cross in Chandra Layout 1st Phase. That is over in Bangalore-72. I work as a site engineer within a construction project management consultancy. It sounds like a mouthful, but basically, I just make sure that the building projects are actually happening the way they are supposed to. I spend a lot of time on my feet. Chandra Layout is a pretty active area, and there is always some kind of construction going on nearby. I go from one site to another, checking on progress and making sure the consultants' plans are being followed. I don’t have much time for sitting around. My days are filled with phone calls, site visits, and checking the quality of the concrete or the steel. I've been in Bangalore for a long time, so I know how the local contractors work. It’s about being there on the ground to see what’s happening. I don’t believe in managing things from a distant office. You have to see the work with your own eyes. The 15th Cross is where I keep my files and meet up with colleagues. It’s a practical setup. We handle the technical side and the management side to keep the owners happy. It's tough work sometimes, especially when the rains come or materials are late, but it’s what I do. I just take it one day at a time and try to stay organized.
