Shyam Godavari Steel is based out of Rs Garden, right on the 4th Cross near Lalbagh Road. We have been at No.219 for some time. Dealing with steel is heavy work, and our yard reflects that. It is mostly stacks of metal and the sound of trucks coming in and out. Being near Lalbagh Road means it gets quite crowded, especially during the peak hours, which makes deliveries a bit tricky sometimes. We handle various types of steel supplies for construction and other local needs. It is a straightforward operation here. No big offices or air-conditioned lobbies, just the warehouse and a small desk where we keep the paperwork. Most of the guys have been with us for years. We know the neighborhood well. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, but that is just part of being in this line of work. We try to keep things organized, though it gets messy when a big shipment arrives. People usually find us by looking for the RS Garden signs. It is a practical business. We do not spend much time on fancy talk, we just focus on getting the steel loaded and sent to where it needs to go. If you are around the 4th Cross, you will probably hear us before you see us. It is a busy spot but we like being central and close to the main roads.
