Shrihari Industries

Our place is over at 31/1 C on Kanakpura Road, right in the Doddakallasandra area. It’s very much an industrial setting, so don't expect anything too polished. Shrihari Industries is basically a group of us working with machines and materials all day long. The noise of the road is always there in the background, mixed with the sounds of whatever we’re fixing or making that day. We’ve got a lot of equipment squeezed into the space, and sometimes it feels a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. Doddakallasandra has changed a lot over the years, with more buildings coming up, but we’ve stayed right here. The floors are concrete and usually have some dust or scraps on them by the afternoon. We wear work clothes that get dirty pretty fast. It’s not the kind of job where you sit at a desk all day. We’re on our feet, moving things back and forth. Kanakpura Road is a major artery, so there’s a constant stream of trucks and cars passing by our gate. We usually eat our lunch together in a small corner of the shop. It’s hard work, and the days can be long when we have a big backlog. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you'll just find us in the middle of our work, probably looking a bit preoccupied with the task at hand. The metal gate is usually open to let some air in, though it doesn't help much when the sun is beating down on the road. We have some old posters on the walls that have been there for ages. It’s not about aesthetics here, it’s about getting the orders filled.
