Shri Mahalaxmi Exports Pvt. Ltd. is located in Prabhadevi. We are in Kaliandas Udyog Bhavan, room number 362. If you know the area, we are quite close to the old Century Bazaar. It’s a very active part of Mumbai. The building is one of those typical industrial estates where a hundred different things are going on at once. Going up the stairs or taking the lift, you hear the sounds of various businesses. Our space in 362 is where we manage all the export details. It’s full of boxes, files, and a few desks pushed together. It’s not a place meant for showing off. We focus more on the paperwork and making sure everything is labeled correctly. The windows look out onto other buildings, and you can hear the street noise from below. Prabhadevi is always moving, so there’s a certain energy to being here. We don’t have any corporate uniforms or strict rules about how to sit at a desk. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home. The tea man comes around twice a day, which is something we all look forward to. It’s a simple operation, really. We’ve been in Kaliandas Udyog Bhavan for some time now and know the security guards and the other tenants. It feels like a little community inside a big city.
