Shri Lakshmi Light And Home Appliances is located out on the Sarkhej Gandhinagar Highway, specifically at Kundalahalli 42 / 1. The highway is always humming with cars and trucks passing by at all hours. We have a lot of different things inside the shop, mostly lights and stuff for the house. It can get a bit crowded with boxes sometimes when new stock comes in. We spend a lot of time unpacking things and putting them on the shelves. People stop in while they are driving along the highway because they realize they need a bulb or a small appliance for their kitchen. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the summer, so we usually keep the fans running all day long. It’s not a huge place, but we try to keep what people need. You’ll find me or one of the other guys here from early morning until we shut down for the night. The floors are concrete and they get dusty from the highway air, so we have to sweep quite a bit. Sometimes the power fluctuates, which is ironic since we sell lights. We just deal with it as it comes. It's a practical business, nothing too fancy. If you are heading down towards Gandhinagar, you will see us there by the side of the road. We just try to keep the lights on and help the folks who live in the Kundalahalli area.
