Shree Trishla

Shree Trishla is our little shop over in Cubbonpet at number 10. This area is very old and the lanes are quite narrow. If you are coming by car, it’s a bit difficult to park, so most of our customers just walk in. We sell clothes, mostly traditional things like sarees and dress materials. The shelves are filled with different colors and fabrics. It’s a family-run kind of place. My father started it, and now I spend my time here. We don't have big air conditioners or bright spotlights. It’s just the regular tube lights and a few fans to keep the air moving. People come here because they know we have been around for a long time. We know which fabrics last and which ones don't. It’s not like those big malls where nobody knows your name. Here, we talk to the customers about their families while we show them the latest stock. Sometimes the shop gets very crowded during the festival season, and it’s hard to move around. We have rolls of cloth stacked up high. It’s a bit messy at times, especially when we are opening new bundles. But we like the buzz of the market. Cubbonpet has its own charm with all the wholesale shops around. We just keep doing what we know, which is selling good cloth at a fair price to anyone who walks through the door. It is a simple way to spend the day.
