Shree Lakshmi Steels

Our business, Shree Lakshmi Steels, is located at 132 Kamakshi Palya. We are actually inside the GIDC Manjusar area in Savli. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s all factories and warehouses around here. Being near the KEB office is helpful because everyone knows where that is. The environment is pretty industrial, with a lot of noise from machines and trucks. We handle a lot of steel, so the place is full of heavy metal rods and sheets. It gets quite hot in Savli, especially during the summer months when the sun hits the metal. We’ve been at this plot 132 for a good while. It’s not a fancy office at all, just a functional space where we manage the orders and the stock. Most of our day is spent checking the weight of the steel and making sure the right pieces go to the right customers. The GIDC roads are always busy with heavy vehicles, so there’s a lot of dust and movement. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a straightforward business without any fluff. We know the other shop owners in the Manjusar area, and it’s a tight-knit community of workers. We mostly just stick to our routine and make sure the deliveries are loaded correctly. The KEB office is just a short walk away, which is handy when we have to sort out the electricity bills for the warehouse. It’s just a regular industrial life for us out here in the heat.
