Shop No 50

We are tucked away in Gandhi Nagar on 8th E Main Road, right in Jayanagar 4th Block. The shop is actually called Shop No 50, which makes it easy to find if you know the numbers. It’s a very small place, mostly just enough room for the counter and a couple of people to stand. Jayanagar is a nice area with lots of trees, so it stays a bit cooler than the rest of the city, which I appreciate. We sell a bit of everything, mostly small things people need for their homes. I’ve been working here for years, and I know which floorboard creaks when you step on it. We don't have a big sign, just the number above the door. Most of the people who come in are regulars who live in the apartments nearby. They stop by on their way to the park or the market. It’s a quiet kind of business. I spend my time tidying the shelves and checking the stock. There’s no computer here, just a notebook where I write down what we sell each day. Sometimes the neighbor comes over for a chat and we drink coffee on the pavement. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the block, just a reliable one that’s open when people need us. It’s a slow pace, but it suits the neighborhood perfectly.
