Shivakumar Metal Pressing

Shivakumar Metal Pressing is located over at the Bhadrappa Industrial Estate, specifically in the 2nd Stage area of Kamakshipalaya. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of other workshops nearby. Our place at number 3952 is where we handle all the metal pressing work. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving sheets of metal around and setting up the presses. The machines are heavy and they make a lot of noise when they’re running, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We mostly just focus on getting the jobs out on time for the people who rely on us. There isn't much of a front desk here; you usually just find us back by the machines. We’ve been in Kamakshipalaya for a good stretch now. The floor is usually covered in scrap bits and oil, which is pretty standard for what we do. It’s a straightforward setup. We take the metal, press it into the shapes needed, and move on to the next pile. Dealing with the heat in the summer can be tough, but the fans help a little. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We just run the shop and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. If someone stops by, they’ll probably see us in our work clothes, just getting things finished. We've got our routine down and that's what works for us every day.
