Shiva Sakthi Rice Mills

Shiva Sakthi Rice Mills is located at 76/32 Kempegowda Road in Balepete. This is a very busy part of the city so it is always a struggle with the traffic when we are trying to move stock. The mill itself is tucked away but once you get close you can definitely hear it. We have been at this Kempegowda Road address for quite some time now. It’s a cramped space because property in Balepete is hard to come by but we make it work. We have to be very organized with how we stack the bags or we would run out of room in a single day. The workers here are used to the noise and the heat. It gets really warm inside the mill during the middle of the day. We don't have any fancy marketing or even a big sign out front. Most of our work comes from people who have been coming to us for years. We handle the milling and the polishing right here. It is a lot of manual labor and we all go home with tired arms and dust in our hair. But that is the nature of the rice business in a place like this. We just focus on getting the grain processed and out the door so the next load can come in. It is a constant cycle of filling sacks and moving them to the street for pickup.
