Shiv Impex

If you know Chickpet Main Road, you know it’s always crowded and moving. We are located at G-7/5, tucked in among all the other shops and traders. Shiv Impex started as a small operation and it still feels that way most days even with more stuff coming in. We spend most of our mornings unpacking crates and checking what arrived from the manufacturers. It is a lot of heavy lifting and making space where there isn't much to begin with. The shop floor is usually filled with samples and boxes that need to go out to customers. We don't really do big advertisements because our neighbors and long-time clients know where we are. Dealing with imports and exports sounds complicated but for us, it’s mostly just making sure the paperwork is right and the goods are packed well so nothing breaks. Sometimes the power goes out or the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lane, but we manage. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know the routine. We stay late quite often to finish the counts. It’s a bit dusty and the noise from the main road never really stops, but it’s our workplace. We just focus on getting the orders out on time and keeping the inventory moving. It's practical work that keeps us busy from morning till the shutters go down at night. We always have a mountain of packing tape rolls in the corner to seal up orders.
