Shirdi Sai Furniture Works

We’ve been here at 40 Hanumanth Nagar for a good while now, right across from that Axis Bank ATM. Most days you’ll find us busy with wood and saws. It gets pretty dusty inside Shirdi Sai Furniture Works, but that's just how it is when you're building tables or fixing up a broken chair for someone in the neighborhood. We aren't a big factory or anything fancy. Just a local shop where we work with our hands. Sometimes the wood doesn't cooperate or a delivery is late, but we get the job done eventually. People stop by to ask about getting a cupboard made or maybe just to see if we can trim a door that’s sticking. We keep our tools sharp and our workbench messy. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside, but it feels good to see a finished piece of furniture go out the door. The traffic on this road can be a bit much in the evenings, but being near the bank makes us easy to find. We don't have a big office or a secretary to answer phones. If you come by, you'll likely see us covered in sawdust or carrying planks around. We just try to make things that last and handle whatever repairs come our way. Every piece of timber has its own quirks. We just take it day by day here in Hanumanth Nagar, making sure things are sturdy enough to be used every day in someone's home. It’s a simple life.
