Shell Shoppe Mobile Shoppe

The shop is right near the Gangenahalli Warje Bridge, so we hear the bikes and cars zooming overhead all day long. It's a constant noise that you just get used to after a week of working here. We deal with mobile phones and all the little bits that go with them. The shelves are full of different cases and chargers that we've collected over the months. Some days are slow and we just sit by the counter watching the traffic, and other days it feels like everyone in the city broke their screen at the same time. We have a small workbench in the back where we do the repairs. It is messy with tiny screws and screwdrivers, but we know where everything is. The lighting isn't the best, so we use a desk lamp to see the small parts. It’s a humble little shop, nothing like those big stores in the malls. We talk to the local people who live around the bridge area and they know us by name. We don't do any big advertising or anything. Most people just see the sign while they are stuck in traffic or walking across the bridge and decide to stop in. We keep some cold water in the fridge for ourselves and the customers when it gets too hot outside. It’s just a regular mobile shop doing what we can to keep people connected.
