Shaunaka Ventures (Opc) Private Limited is located over in Munnekolala, near Marathahalli. We’re in a building called Sourabha on L N Temple Road. It’s a one-person company setup, so it’s a very hands-on operation. I’ve been working out of this spot for a while now. The neighborhood is pretty lively, especially with the temple nearby and all the small shops that line the street. I decided to start this venture because I wanted to do something on my own terms. It’s not a big corporate office with a receptionist and a fancy coffee machine. It’s mostly just me and occasionally some help when things get really busy. The work involves a lot of different things depending on the day. Sometimes it’s research, other times it’s talking to partners or sorting out invoices. It can be a bit lonely sometimes, but I like the freedom. Being in Bangalore means there’s always something happening, but L N Temple Road has its own specific vibe that I’ve grown to appreciate. I try to stay organized, though my desk usually says otherwise with piles of papers everywhere. It’s a practical workspace for a practical business. I don’t spend much on advertising or anything like that. Most of the people I work with find me through word of mouth or because they’re in the same area. It’s just a simple business trying to make its way in a big city. I enjoy the pace of things here in the 560037 area. It’s home.
