I’ve been running things out of my place at 112 Sharada Colony for quite some time now. Basaveshwar Nagar is a quiet part of Bangalore, which I like. It makes it easier to focus on what needs to be done. My workspace is just a part of the house, really. It’s not a big corporate setup with glass walls or anything. It’s just me and occasionally some help when things get really busy. People in the colony know the house, and I’ve lived here long enough that the postman doesn't even need to look at the number anymore. I handle a lot of different tasks throughout the day. Some days it’s mostly phone calls and other days it’s paperwork that piles up on the kitchen table. Bangalore has changed a lot since I started, with more traffic and noise, but this little corner stays mostly the same. I don’t have a big staff or fancy equipment. I just have my desk, my phone, and my records. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it works for me. I prefer the personal touch. If someone calls, they talk to me, not a machine. That’s just how I’ve always done it. It’s honest work and it keeps me occupied. I don't feel the need for a big office in the city center. This spot in Bangalore is just right for what I do. Staying small allows me to focus.
