Consultant

My office is over at D-3 in Naveen Terrace. It’s right on the 100 Feet Inner Ring Road in Koramangala, which is a very busy part of Bangalore. I’ve been working as a consultant from this location for quite some time now. It’s a small space, just enough for me and a couple of assistants. We deal with all sorts of business advice and planning. The traffic outside can be pretty loud, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of the horns and the buses. People come here when they have a problem with their business or they need help with some paperwork. I don't have a big corporate board or a lot of employees. It’s just a practical setup where we can sit down and talk through things. The building is one of those older ones in Koramangala, and it has a bit of a lived-in feel. I prefer it that way. It’s more comfortable than those glass buildings. I don’t use a lot of fancy management talk. I just listen to what people need and try to give them some solid advice based on what I’ve seen over the years. We have a lot of files and books stacked up on the shelves. It’s a simple way of working. Most of my clients are people I’ve known for years, or their friends. It’s all about being practical and getting things sorted out. I’m usually here until late most evenings just making sure everything is finished.
