Shanthi Paying Guest is tucked away at 218 HAL 3rd Stage. It’s a house we’ve set up for people who need a place to stay while they work or study nearby. We have several rooms, and we try to keep things as comfortable as possible without making it feel like a hotel. It’s more like a home, really. We provide meals, so there’s always something cooking in the kitchen, and it usually smells like rice and dal around lunchtime. We’ve got a mix of people staying here, some who have been with us for months and others who are just passing through for a few weeks. The furniture is simple, and we make sure the bathrooms are cleaned regularly. It’s not a luxury setup, but it’s a roof over your head and a decent place to sleep. Living in HAL 3rd Stage is pretty convenient for everyone since it's close to a lot of offices. We spend our days making sure the water is running, the food is ready on time, and the common areas are tidy. Sometimes the residents sit out on the porch in the evening and just chat. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We just run the place ourselves and try to make sure everyone gets along. It’s a lot of work keeping a big house like this going, but we like the company and the people we meet.
