Shanthi Furnitures

You can find us over at 4 T Dasarahalli, right on the 22nd Main in the S L V Arcade. We are tucked in quite close to the Rockline Mall, which means the area is almost always packed with people and traffic. Our shop is filled with various pieces of furniture, from chairs and tables to cupboards that we’ve moved around a dozen times to make space. It smells like wood and polish in here, which I suppose is better than the exhaust fumes from the street outside. The S L V Arcade is a decent enough building, though the stairs can be a bit steep when we’re moving heavy items in or out. We spend most of our time showing people the different items we have in stock and explaining the sizes. Shanthi Furnitures isn't a huge showroom like the ones you see in magazines; it’s more of a practical place where things are kept close together. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door watching the crowd go towards the mall, while other days we are moving stuff all afternoon. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to take professional photos of the stock. If someone wants to see a bed or a sofa, they just come in and take a look for themselves. We’ve got a small notebook where we write down all the orders, and it’s mostly just us trying to make sure everything gets delivered to the right house on time.
