Shankar Industries

You can find Shankar Industries at 41624 in the N G Complex in Yeshwantpur. It’s a busy part of town and our unit is tucked away among many others. We do manufacturing work here, mostly focused on industrial components. The space is fairly cramped because we have quite a bit of machinery packed in. It’s not a place for a fancy tour. There is grease on the floor and the sound of metal hitting metal most of the day. We’ve been based in Yeshwantpur for a long time and we like being in this complex. We have a small team, and everyone knows what they need to do. Some mornings we spend just maintaining the equipment so it doesn't break down mid-job. We don't have a big sales team or anything. Most of our customers are people we have known for years. We keep our records in big physical ledgers because that’s how we have always done it. It feels more reliable than a computer sometimes. When we aren't working the machines, we are usually loading up parts for delivery or checking the stock. It’s a simple, no-nonsense kind of place. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just make the parts that people ask for and try to keep our heads down and work hard to keep the shop going.
