Seyal Refgn. & Ariconditioning Works

Our little shop is tucked into the Golden Plaza Market on Queens Road, specifically at units 2 and 11. If you walk past, you’ll probably see a bunch of old air conditioning units piled up outside or someone tinkering with a compressor on the floor. The space is pretty cramped because of all the tools and copper tubing laying around. We spend most of our time with grease on our hands, trying to figure out why a fridge stopped cooling or fixing a motor that gave out. The market is always noisy, and you can hear the traffic from Queens Road all day long. It gets especially hectic when the weather turns hot and everyone realizes their AC isn't working. We try to keep things organized, but when you’re busy, stuff just ends up where it ends up. There’s a small desk where the bills get handled, but it’s usually covered in spare parts or half-empty water bottles. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighbors know us. Sometimes we’re out on calls, so the shop might be locked up for an hour while we’re at someone’s house. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big sign, just the work we do every day with our hands. It’s a lot of lifting and sweating, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work.
