About Self Employer As Graphic Designer – Event & Planning in Bengaluru
I’ve been working as a graphic designer out of my space on Pattegarapalya Street for quite some time now. Number 27 is where I keep all my gear and do my drawing and layout work. It's not a big studio or a fancy agency setup, just a room with a good desk and my computer. Pattegarapalya is a lively neighborhood, so there’s always something going on outside the window while I work. I started doing this on my own because I liked the freedom of setting my own hours, even if it means working late some nights. My setup is pretty basic but it gets the job done. I’ve got my sketches piled up in one corner and my screen in the other. Sometimes the street gets a bit noisy, but I’ve gotten used to it over the years. Being a self-employer means I handle everything myself, from the actual designing to the boring paperwork. It’s a lot of sitting and clicking, to be honest. I don’t have a receptionist or anyone like that. If the bell rings at 27, it’s usually just me answering it. I’ve lived and worked in this area long enough that most people recognize me. It’s a quiet life mostly, just focusing on the colors and the lines on the screen. It’s nothing fancy, just a person with a computer in a regular house on a regular street.
