Seema Furniture is over at 179 Banashankari. We have been here for many years now. The shop is full of all kinds of things like wooden beds, cupboards, and chairs. It is not a polished showroom. It's more of a workshop and a store combined. You can see the tools we use and sometimes there is dust on the floor from the wood. We don't have bright spotlights or fancy displays. Everything is just lined up so people can see what they are buying. 179 is a good spot in Banashankari because a lot of locals know us. We build things that are strong and meant to last for a long time. We don't like the cheap stuff that falls apart after a few months. My family runs the shop, so there is always someone around to talk to. We don't have a big team of salespeople. We just show you the furniture and tell you how it was made. Sometimes the shop gets very crowded with new stock and it's hard to move around between the tables and beds. We don't mind. It’s a busy place and we like it that way. We don't use any fancy marketing talk or polished ads. People just come in, look at the wood, and decide if they want it. It’s a very simple way of doing things, and we’ve been doing it that way at 179 for a long time. We just keep making furniture and talking to our neighbors in the area. It works for us.
