About Sealine Exports & Imports – Industrial Plant & Machines in Bengaluru
Our office is on the fourth floor of the D.D. Angadi building right by Convent Junction. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always noise from the street coming up, even though we are high up. We work on the export and import side of things, which mostly involves a lot of paperwork and checking shipping schedules. There are stacks of folders on most of the desks because there is always something to track. We deal with various goods coming in and going out, and it’s a bit of a balancing act to make sure everything gets where it needs to go on time. Sometimes the ports are backed up and that makes our day a lot harder. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees, just a handful of us who know how the customs stuff works. It’s a lot of emails and long-distance calls to people in different time zones. The elevator in the building is a bit slow, so we usually just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. We just try to get the goods moved without too many delays or extra costs. It's practical work that doesn't really have a lot of glamour to it, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We mostly just drink coffee and stare at logistics charts all day long. It's a bit repetitive, but someone has to do it so things get shipped.
