Our furniture shop is located at 1861 Sahakara Nagar in the Makarpura Industrial Estate. You can spot us easily because we are right near the big water tank, which is the main landmark around here. Most of our days are spent in the middle of noise from the saws and sanders as we work on various pieces. It gets quite dusty inside the workshop, but that is just the nature of working with wood all day long. My brother and I took over this place a long time ago because we were good with our hands. We don't have one of those fancy showrooms with bright lights and air conditioning. Instead, we just have this workspace where we build things and keep the finished items stacked up. People from around the industrial area usually stop by to ask about making tables or storage cupboards for their own shops. It's a loud environment with all the other factories nearby, but we've gotten used to it. Sometimes the traffic by the water tank gets heavy when everyone is leaving work, but we often stay late to finish up whatever task is on the bench for that day. Our setup is simple, with no big office staff, just us and a few helpers who understand how to handle the materials. We have watched this neighborhood grow and change over the years, but our little spot in Sahakara Nagar stays pretty much the same year after year.
