Sashi Shekar Ice Cube

We operate out of Door No-1068/6 on Dr. Chi. Na. Mangala Road. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but folks in Hanumantha Nagar know the 14 B Main area pretty well. Sashi Shekar Ice Cube is mostly about making sure people have the ice they need for their events or shops. It’s a wet business, honestly. There is always water on the floor from the blocks melting a little as we move them. We wear heavy gloves because those ice blocks are freezing to hold for too long. The machines make a lot of humming noise throughout the day and night. We have a small office area, but most of the work happens in the back where the big containers are. It’s a straightforward operation. People call us up or just drop by when they realize they’ve run out of ice for a party. We load up the trucks early in the morning. Sometimes the traffic on Mangala Road makes the deliveries take longer than we’d like. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and the neighbors don’t seem to mind the noise much anymore. We just keep the cycles going and try to stay dry when we can. It’s simple work, really. It gets a bit hectic during the festival season, but we manage to stay on top of the orders most days.
