Saptagiri Stores is tucked away on Kumbar Street in the Bangalore City area. If you've ever walked down this part of the 560002 zip code, you probably know how narrow and packed the lanes can get. Our shop at number 1 has been a part of this street for a long time. It’s a simple setup with goods stacked up to the ceiling in some spots. We deal with all sorts of items that people need for their daily lives. Most mornings start with us opening the shutters and sweeping the front while the city wakes up around us. We aren't a big supermarket or anything like that. It’s just a local store where the floor might be a bit uneven and the light isn't always the brightest. People come in for a few things, stay for a quick chat, and then head back to their work. The noise from the traffic on the main roads nearby usually filters in, but inside, we just focus on getting the right items to the people who ask for them. We don't spend money on big signs or ads. Word of mouth from the neighbors on Kumbar Street is how most people find us. It’s a quiet way to make a living, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes even Sundays if there is a lot to do. We like the work well enough.
