Sandvik Asia Ltd, Sandik Coromant

We’ve been at Sri Mookambika Nilya No.7 for a while now. It’s right on the 20th Main Road in B.T.M Layout, which most people around here know is a pretty busy spot in Bangalore. Sandvik Asia Ltd and the Sandvik Coromant team operate out of this 1st Stage Tavarekere office. It’s not a fancy glass skyscraper or anything like that. It’s a practical building that fits the neighborhood. Most mornings, the traffic on the main road is quite loud, but we’ve gotten used to it. The staff here mostly deals with the technical side of things, looking at tools and industrial parts. If you walk past the building, you might see a few of us heading out for lunch at one of the local spots nearby. We don’t have a big flashy sign, just a regular setup that works for what we do. The 20th Main Road has changed a lot over the years, with new shops opening up all the time, but we’ve stayed put in this same corner. Inside, it’s mostly desks, some catalogs, and people talking on the phone with clients or checking inventory lists. It gets a bit crowded when everyone is in at the same time, but we manage. People know us as the Sandvik folks in the B.T.M area. We just focus on getting our daily tasks done without much fuss. It’s a decent place to work and we’re part of the local scene here.
