Our place is on Jordan Road, over in the Electronic City Delhi Chakla area. It is a busy spot and we are usually tied up with paperwork or checking what is left in the back room. We deal with various supplies, mostly things for other businesses around here. It isn't a retail shop where you walk in and browse through aisles. It's more about orders coming in and us making sure the right boxes go out on the trucks. The office is small and the fan makes a bit of a clicking noise that we have just gotten used to over the years. We have stacks of invoices and ledgers on the main desk because we still like to keep track of things on paper as much as on the computer. The neighborhood is always noisy with traffic, and sometimes it is hard to hear the phone when the big lorries go past 798. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to bother with that. It’s just a practical setup for getting things done. We know the regular delivery drivers by name and they know where to park so they don't block the narrow road. It’s a lot of mundane work, checking lists and counting items, but it keeps the business moving along one day at a time, and that's enough for us.
