Samvrudhi Mart

Samvrudhi Mart is located at 45-7-21, Pilekamma Temple Road in Aavalahalli. We chose this spot because it’s right where people pass by on their way to the local temple. You can hear the bells ringing throughout the day, which is a nice sound to work to. The mart is just a local shop where we keep everything people might need for their daily homes. We have shelves for snacks, soaps, and various cleaning supplies. It’s not a big supermarket where you get lost in the long aisles. It’s small enough that you can see everything we have from the front door. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass jars and making sure the floor isn't slippery for the elders. Aavalahalli is a growing area, so we get a mix of old residents and new people who have just moved into the apartments nearby. We try to be friendly, but we aren't the type to talk your ear off if you are in a hurry. We just get your items ready and give you the correct change. Sometimes the kids from the school nearby come in for sweets, and they can be a bit loud in the afternoons. The building is an older one, so the walls are thick and it stays relatively cool inside. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of big ceiling fans that hum all day long. It’s a basic shop for basic needs.
