You can find Samsons Leather Garments at No. 86 in the Ezikel Industrial Estate, right on Arabic College Road in K.G. Hali. The smell of leather is the first thing you notice when you walk into our unit. It is a steady environment where we spend most of the day cutting and stitching. We aren't a high-fashion boutique with bright lights; we are a workshop with rows of machines and piles of material. The lighting is okay, but we often have to move closer to the windows to see the fine details of the grain. Arabic College Road is always busy, so there is plenty of noise from the street coming through the open vents. We have a small crew, and everyone knows their specific task, whether it is checking the zippers or packing the finished jackets into boxes. We often have tea together in the late afternoon when the eyes get tired from looking at the needles. Sometimes the shipments are delayed and we have to scramble to catch up, which means staying a bit later than usual. We don't do much in terms of advertising or big speeches. We just handle the leather, make the garments, and try to keep everything organized in the limited space we have. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every week.
