Samrat International

Samrat International is located at 21/23 on Nanubhai Desai Road, which is right near the C.P. Tank area. This part of the city is very old and the streets are quite narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze when people are moving goods around. Our office is a simple, traditional space that reflects the long history of the neighborhood. We handle various types of international trade and general merchant work from here. The walls are lined with old shelves and there is a thick layer of ledgers that we still use to keep track of certain things. It isn't a modern office with glass walls or anything flashy. We have some heavy wooden desks and the light isn't always the brightest, but it works for us. The sounds of the street vendors and the bells from the nearby temple are part of our daily routine. We often have people dropping by just to chat about the market or to check on their orders over a cup of tea. It is a very personal way of doing business that you don't see much anymore. We don't have a website that we update or any big ads; we just rely on the people we have known for years in the trade. It’s a busy, cramped, and honest place to work where we just focus on the trade and the local community.
