Samad House Deluxe

We are over at 59 Shivaji Nagar on Bowring Hospital Road. The name on our sign is Samad House Deluxe. Since we are so close to the hospital, we get a lot of people coming in who are visiting family or have appointments. It’s a busy street in the 560001 area of Bangalore. The traffic outside never really seems to stop, so there’s always the sound of horns and bikes. Our building is an older one. We don’t have a big lobby with fancy carpets or anything like that. It’s just a simple desk where we handle the keys and the registers. The rooms are basic. We spend most of our time making sure the beds are made and everything is wiped down. It’s a small operation run by a few of us. We aren't trying to be a luxury resort. It’s just a place for people to stay when they need to be in this part of town. Sometimes the plumbing is a bit noisy, but that’s just how these older buildings are. We drink a lot of coffee in the office while waiting for guests. Most of our day is just routine work. We’ve been on this road for a long time. Everyone around Shivaji Nagar knows where we are. It’s a straightforward business and we just take it one day at a time without any fuss.
