Salma General Store

Salma General Store is located at 298 Ganga Bhavani Mrs Palya, right on Nandi Durga Road in the Benson Town area. We have been here for a good while, serving the people who live around this part of Bangalore. Being so close to Sri Ayyappan English School means we see a lot of kids and parents passing by every morning and afternoon. The shop itself is not anything fancy, just a regular place with shelves full of the things people need for their houses. We spend a lot of our time just unpacking boxes and making sure the jars are lined up okay. The road outside can get pretty noisy with all the traffic heading towards the post office. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty inside when the wind blows through the open door, so we have to wipe things down quite often. We have a small counter where we sit and wait for neighbors to drop in. It is a simple life running a store in this part of town. We know which floor tiles are loose and which light bulb flickers when it rains. The address is easy to find if you know where the school is. Most of the folks who come in are regulars who live in the blocks nearby. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights, just the name above the door. It gets the job done and we keep things moving for the neighborhood.
