Our place is tucked away on Immadihalli Road in Nagondanahalli. It’s number 36/58-4 if you’re looking for the exact spot. It’s basically a big space filled with boxes and crates. We spend most of our time loading and unloading trucks. The road outside can be quite narrow, so when the big lorries come in, it gets a bit tricky with the traffic. We don't really have a storefront for people to walk in and browse. It’s more about moving stock from one place to another. There’s always the sound of tape dispensers and moving pallets. It’s dusty work, especially in the summer. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep track of the delivery notes. The light isn't great in the back, so we use a few extra lamps. It’s not a polished environment by any means. We wear old clothes because you’re bound to get some grease or dirt on you by midday. Most of us here have grown up in this area or nearby. We know the shortcuts to avoid the main road traffic when we have to go out. Lunch is usually just tiffin boxes at the main table. It’s a straightforward business without any bells and whistles. We just focus on getting the crates out of the door and into the hands of the retailers who need them. Sometimes the rain makes the road muddy, which slows us down, but we manage to keep things moving along regardless.
