S V Mobile Communications

If you spend any time in Nandini Layout, you’ve probably walked past S V Mobile Communications. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit now. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with glass cases for the phones and a small counter where I do the repairs. I spend most of my time hunched over a desk with a magnifying glass, trying to fix screens or swap out batteries. It’s tedious work, but it’s what we do. The neighborhood is pretty active, so there’s always someone popping in because they dropped their phone or the charging port stopped working. We sell some accessories too, like cables and covers, which usually clutter up the walls. My brother helps out in the afternoons when the school rush starts. Nandini Layout is a nice area, but it gets very crowded on the weekends. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting at once. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of plastic stools near the door. People usually just stand and chat while I finish up their repairs. It’s not a corporate store with uniforms or anything. I usually just wear whatever is comfortable for sitting all day. We just try to get the phones back to people as quickly as we can because everyone is lost without their device these days. It’s a simple living and keeps the lights on for the family.
