S V Furnitures

We are located in the Bommasandra Industrial Area, specifically inside the Srinivasa Kalyana Mantapa Complex. It’s a bit of an unusual spot because you have all these heavy industries nearby, but then right here, people are getting married in the mantapa. S V Furnitures is where we spend our time among the smell of cut wood and fabric. There is always some noise from the machines in the area. We have sofas and chairs packed into the space. When there’s a big wedding next door, the whole place gets crowded with cars and people in fancy clothes. Sometimes they wander in here while waiting for the ceremony to start. The floor is usually covered in a bit of sawdust because things are always being moved or adjusted. We have some old ceiling fans that hum quite loudly when they are on full speed. It gets quite hot in the afternoons here in Bommasandra. We keep the doors open to get a breeze, even if it brings in some of the industrial smoke. Most of my day is spent checking the stock and talking to the guys who help move the heavy wardrobes. It’s a lot of physical work. We don’t use any computer systems for the inventory; it’s all written down in big books. That’s just how we’ve always done it here at the complex. It works for us and keeps things simple.
