S S T Food Products

We are based in Chamrajpet on the Kempe Gowdanagar Main Road. Our shop is at number 20. We make food products here. It’s mostly dry snacks and some spice mixes. You can smell the spices from the street. Some people say it makes them sneeze. But we like the smell. It’s a small production area in the back. We have a few machines for grinding and packing. They make a lot of noise during the day. My wife oversees the recipes. She is very strict about the ingredients. She says if we won't eat it at home, we won't sell it. I think she’s right. We use simple plastic bags with our name printed on them. Nothing too colorful. The main road is very busy with buses and cars. It gets dusty, so we keep the front glass clean. We sell to small shops around the city. Sometimes people come in to buy just one or two packets for their tea. We don't mind. We have a small counter for that. We've been here for about eight years. We started with just one grinder. Now we have three. It’s slow progress but it’s steady. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just make the food and hope people like it. Most people come back once they try it. That’s enough for us. Chamrajpet is a nice old part of town. We feel at home here. When the day is done, we clean the machines and get ready for tomorrow. It is hard work but we are happy with it.
