S. S. Fabrications

S. S. Fabrications is over in Bengaluru, tucked away in Muniswamappa Layout. We are on the Old Mangammanapalya Road, which is near M.G. Palya and not too far from the main Hosur Road in Bommanahalli. It is a noisy area with a lot of trucks and industrial work going on. Our workshop is No. 36 and it’s a place where we do a lot of heavy lifting. We work with iron and steel, making things like gates, window grills, and small metal frames. There are always sparks flying and the sound of metal hitting metal. The floor is usually covered in iron filings and grease. It is hard work and our clothes are usually stained by the end of the day. We don't have an office with chairs; we mostly just stand around the welding tables. Bengaluru weather helps a bit, but near the machines, it is always warm. We get orders from people building houses nearby or local factories needing repairs. Sometimes we have to wait for materials to be delivered down the narrow roads, which can be a bit of a headache with the traffic. We aren't a big corporation, just a group of guys who know how to weld and fix things. It is a practical job and we take it one day at a time. The layout is a bit confusing for strangers, but we have been at this location for a long time.
