S S Event Management is run out of a small office in Ulsoor. You can find us at No 19 E, 5th Cross, on Old Madras Road. We are pretty close to Lido Mall, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. We spend most of our time planning things out and talking to vendors on the phone. Events are messy behind the scenes, and our office usually reflects that. There are always boxes of decorations or stacks of papers sitting around. It’s not a polished corporate environment because we are always on the move. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything. We just try to make sure that when someone has a party or a meeting, the chairs show up and the food is there. Things go wrong sometimes, like a light bulb blowing out or a driver getting lost, and we just have to fix it on the fly. Bangalore is a busy place for events, and being in Ulsoor keeps us central to everything. We’ve been doing this for a while now, so we know most of the local suppliers. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to do a decent job so people come back next time. It’s a lot of long hours and late nights, but that’s just the nature of this kind of work.
