I’ve been running this hostel at 45 Kamala Nagar for a while now. It’s a simple place for students and guys working around here who need a spot to stay without too much fuss. Kamala Nagar is pretty busy, but we try to keep things quiet inside so people can actually sleep or study after a long day. Most of the boys here come from outside the city, so they’re just looking for a room that doesn't cost too much and feels somewhat like home. I’m usually around the building if something needs fixing or if someone loses their key, which happens more than you’d think. It isn't a fancy hotel, just a basic hostel with beds and a bit of space for your stuff. We have rules about noise and visitors, mostly just so everyone gets along. The rooms get a decent amount of light, and we keep the bathrooms as clean as we can with so many people using them daily. Sometimes the water heater acts up, but I get it sorted quickly. It’s just how it is living in a shared space. There are plenty of small shops nearby for food, so that’s a plus for the residents. I’ve seen a lot of faces come and go over the years, some stay for months and others for just a few weeks while they look for a permanent flat. It's just a regular part of life here for everyone involved.
