About S P Mutton Stall – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
My shop is over in Yeshwantpur at 1063/2/2. I’ve been a butcher for a long time, and this stall is where I spend my whole day. It’s not a clean office job, that’s for sure. I get here very early to take the deliveries. The floors need a lot of washing to keep everything right. It’s a small space, mostly just the chopping blocks and the scales. Customers come in looking for specific cuts, and I do my best to give them what they want. I know a lot of the families around here because they’ve been buying their Sunday meat from me for years. You see the kids grow up and then they start coming in themselves. It’s a bit of a hard job on the hands and back, but I’m used to it by now. The knives need constant sharpening to make the work easier. Some days are slow, especially during certain times of the year, but we stay open regardless. I don't have a fancy sign or anything, people just know where we are. It’s a practical business. There’s no point in being flashy when you’re just selling mutton. I focus on being honest with the weight and making sure the stock is fresh. That’s how we’ve stayed here this long in Yeshwantpur. Just a regular stall doing regular work. I usually pack up my tools around six and head home to my family.
