S P Consulting Engineers is located at 1233 on the 9th Main in Vijayanagar. The street is always busy with people and cars, so there’s a lot of noise outside our front door. The office itself is pretty simple and doesn't have any of those modern glass partitions or bright lights. We’ve got some sturdy desks, a few filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a lot of technical manuals stacked on the shelves. We don't spend much money on expensive furniture or wall art. Most of the time, we’re too busy looking at blueprints or running calculations to care about what the place looks like. It can get a bit loud when the traffic picks up in the evening, but we’re used to it by now. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who have been doing this for quite some time. We know the area well and have seen the neighborhood change over the years. When someone comes in, they usually just pull up a chair and we talk through whatever needs to be done. We don't use a lot of sales talk or try to sound more important than we are. Sometimes we’re out on site, so the office can be empty for a few hours. If the door is locked, we’re probably just out looking at a job. We just try to be reliable and get things right.
