We’ve been running Karthik Engineering Bengaluru from this spot at No. 36 for a long time now. It is right opposite the Bangalore Mahanagar Palike on J. C. Road. If you know this part of the city, you know how loud and busy it gets every single day. There are always horns honking and people rushing by the front door. Our workshop isn't anything fancy to look at. It’s got oil on the floors and the smell of cut metal in the air. We spend most of our days working on various machine parts and doing fabrication for whoever needs it. It’s heavy work and our hands are usually greasy by noon. The shop is a bit small, so we have to be very careful how we stack the raw materials and finished pieces. We don't have a fancy office or a secretary to greet you. Usually, you’ll just find one of us under a machine or working at the lathe. J. C. Road is the heart of the spare parts market, so we are in the right place for the kind of work we do. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or use the manual tools for a bit. It’s just the way things go here. We don't put on a show for anyone. People come to us because they know we are right here across from the municipal office. We just focus on getting the engineering jobs finished so they can be picked up.
