S M S Transport

S M S Transport is located at number 19 in Ramamurthy Nagar. We have our office on the 1st floor of a building called Chandra Nivas. It’s a residential area, so it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main road, which I like. I started this transport business because I knew a few drivers and had a couple of trucks. Now we spend our time coordinating deliveries and moving stuff from one part of the city to another. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on where the vehicles are at any given time. The office is just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a big desk where I keep my logs. My cousin helps me with the scheduling sometimes when it gets hectic. We don't have a fleet of hundreds of trucks, just a few reliable ones that we keep in good shape. People in Ramamurthy Nagar know us, and we often help neighbors move house or transport goods for their small businesses. It’s not a fancy corporate logistics firm. It’s just us trying to make sure things get from point A to point B without too much trouble. Sometimes the traffic makes us late, and I have to explain that to the customers, but most people understand how it is here. We just keep working and trying to stay busy throughout the month. It’s a straightforward business and we don’t try to make it seem like more.
