S M B Furniture

We are over at S M B Furniture on the Outer Ring Road. Our shop is at number 4 in Basavanagar, right in the Vijay Nagar area. It’s a busy spot with all the traffic going by all day. Years have gone by since we first started here, just doing our thing with wood and tools. Usually, the shop floor is covered in sawdust by noon because we keep the machines running quite a bit. This isn't a fancy showroom like the ones you see in the malls. Having our items lined up helps people see how the wood is joined and the finish for themselves. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools when it gets too dusty inside. Local folks from the neighborhood stop by to ask about repairs or if we can make a custom cupboard. A big marketing team isn't something we have here. It’s just me and a couple of guys who know their way around a saw. Even if it’s tiring on the back, we like the work. Finding the location is easy if you know the Ring Road well enough. Most days, we stay open until late evening unless there is a power cut or something else happens. Getting the furniture done and hoping it lasts for the folks who buy it is the goal. It’s a simple way to make a living and the noise from the street is something we've gotten used to. Everyday work is what we do here.
