S L N Mobile Service Center is tucked away at Kengeri Silver Point, specifically on Narol Sarkhej Road 353/3. The workspace is quite small, mostly taken up by a long table covered in tiny screws, specialized tools, and magnifying glasses. We spend a lot of time hunched over, looking at circuit boards and trying to fix screens that have been dropped. It’s delicate work that requires a lot of patience and steady hands. The road outside is usually quite busy with trucks and cars, so there’s a constant hum of traffic coming through the door. We have a few shelves where we keep the phones waiting to be picked up, each with a small sticker on it. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't really found the time to deal with that. There is a water cooler in the corner that glugs loudly every now and then. We aren't big on talk; we usually just focus on the task at hand while listening to the noise from the road. People stop by asking how long a repair will take, and we give them a straight answer based on how many devices are already on the bench. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do day in and day out. We just keep the lights on and the tools ready for the next broken phone that comes through.
