If you know Kanakapura Road, you know it gets quite crowded near Banashankari 2nd Stage. That’s where we are, at 39/3. Our place isn’t anything special to look at from the outside, just a regular building with a lot of activity going on inside. We do a lot of packing here. There’s usually a stack of boxes blocking the entrance because we run out of space pretty quickly. The noise from the road never really stops, so we’ve gotten used to talking a bit louder than usual. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years. Most of the people around here know us as the guys who are always moving crates. We don’t have a big marketing team or a fancy website. It’s just us working with our hands and a few old machines. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait for the generator to kick in, which gives us a chance to have some chai. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it holds up. We have a lot of different sizes of bubble wrap and tape rolls everywhere. It can get a bit confusing if you don’t know where things are kept. We start early in the morning before the traffic on Kanakapura Road gets really bad. By the time it’s evening, we’re usually pretty tired and ready to close up shop. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy every single day at Royal Packagings.
