Roshan Alvares

I am located right on MG Road in Bangalore. The pin code is 560001, so it is right in the center of everything. If you have ever been to Bangalore, you know how busy and crowded MG Road gets. There is always something happening outside the window, and the noise from the cars and bikes never really stops. My workspace is a small office in one of the older buildings on the street. It has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit steep to climb. I spend most of my day at the desk, either working on the computer or talking to people on the phone. Sometimes I step out for a coffee at one of the small cafes nearby just to get a break from the screen for a bit. It is not a big corporate setup with lots of employees running around. It is mostly just me and sometimes a helper or two depending on what I am working on that week. The windows look out over the main road, so I get to see the city changing throughout the day. Bangalore is a very fast city, but this part of MG Road still has that old feeling in some of the corners. I don't have a fancy reception area with a sofa. If someone comes by, we just sit at the table and talk. It is a simple way of working. (248 words)
