You can find us at 26, 5th Main, 2nd Cross in the Papanna Block of Ganganagar. Bangalore has changed a lot but this neighborhood feels the same. We are tucked away in a residential area. Most of our customers live in the houses right around us. They come in their house clothes to buy curd or some vegetables. We keep the store open till late so people coming home from the office can stop by. The shelves are mostly filled with groceries like rice bags and oil cans. We have a small fridge for the milk and butter. It’s a quiet life here compared to the main roads. Sometimes the neighbor's dog comes and sits by the door. We don't mind as long as he doesn't get in the way. The billing is done by hand usually. We have a small calculator that we use. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use candles or a torch. The roof is a bit low so tall people have to watch out. We’ve known the families here for generations. We know who likes which brand of coffee and who needs their groceries delivered if they are old. We don't try to be a big supermarket. We just like being the place where you can get a single egg or a packet of biscuits without any fuss. It’s a simple neighborhood life.
